Dr. Linda Tamme — gynaecologist in Vienna’s 2nd district
A practice for the whole range of women’s health: contraception and coils, pregnancy, screening, cycle problems and menopause. Appointments by arrangement – and consultations fully in English whenever you prefer.
What the practice does
-
Contraception & coils
The practice is known for fitting coils gently and quickly – hormonal, copper and gold, with a consultation beforehand.
-
Pregnancy care
The parent-child passport examinations, and someone to ask between appointments.
-
Cancer screening
Smear, ultrasound and breast examination – the intervals depend on your age.
-
Menopause
Symptoms measured rather than estimated, and treatment options weighed against your own history.
-
Cycle & fertility
Irregular cycles, unfulfilled desire for a child, and the preparation that belongs before pregnancy.
-
Consultations in English
Dr. Tamme speaks fluent English; the entire consultation can be held in English.

Missed a pill – what now?Three questions, one clear answer – including whether emergency contraception is needed.
Coils: the reason many women come here
Having a coil fitted is often described as unpleasant. How unpleasant depends heavily on how it is done – on preparing the cervix, on timing within the cycle, on the diameter of the inserter, and on taking time instead of rushing. This practice has made a point of exactly that.
